Twitter

Just a quick note tonight. Twitter has been hammered. It results were better than expected in some ways, but revenue missed expectations.

That and a snafu on the release timing devastated the stock.  Combined with a number of analysts that downgraded the stock today. See the following list of downgrades.

TWTR Axiom downgrades Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) from Buy to Hold and lowers the price target from $63.00 to $45.00.
TWTR Barclays downgrades Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) from Overweight to Equal-weight and lowers the price target from $60.00 to $44.00.
TWTR Janney Capital downgrades Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) from Buy to Neutral and lowers the price target from $53.00 to $44.00. According to Reuters.
TWTR Rosenblatt downgrades Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) from Buy to Neutral.-sources

Note that all of the lowered targets are still substantially above the current price.
 
Twitter is a social media phenomenon. It has become the world-wide method of instant news and communications. Lately it has become the prime source of news for stock traders. It’s universal use continues to grow.
 
This is an opportunity that is rare. We bought Twitter at $39.34 for our portfolio today. It may drop further, but it has tremendous value.

Previous accomplishments are Manager of Cymor Risk Consultants LP specializing in Risk Management Assessment; CEO of Cyna & Associates specializing in mediation and ADR; Founder & Senior Partner of Cyna & Co, Chartered Accountants, a fully licensed and accredited public accountancy firm with international affiliations; and was a partner in a large public accountancy firm. Mr. Cyna is well known in the Canadian Investing community. He is invited to, and attends presentations given by public companies usually 3 or 4 times each week. These presentations are intended by the various hosting companies to present their inside story to sophisticated parties and Investment Managers for the purpose of attracting funding, or of making parties more interested in acquiring shares of those companies.
