Making Money in the Market

The American Juggernaut

Feb 14, 2015

It’s Time to Invest.  A quick note about cycles. As we have remarked many times, making profits in the stock market relies more on investing at the right time in the cycle, than it does on any other factor.

NOW is the time to take advantage. The American Economic Machine is swinging into full gear. The cycle has moved full cycle from the US being the word economic leader, to the meltdown of 2008 through greed and avarice, and now the the inevitable re-emergence of the USA as the world economic power.

With this re-emergence, confidence grows in the US economy and the US stock market, not only in the US but everywhere, and money flows back to the US stock market. This re-emergence of the US market and investors’ interest in the US market, will continue like in every cycle, and will continue to increase until the end of this cycle, which is many years away.

The World Economy

China’s Economic Miracle has slowed and is faltering, just like every other previous story – just like Japan did. Remember when Americans thought that Japan was surpassing America, when the Japanese bought parts of Hollywood, and downtown London, UK, and condos on 5th Ave NY, NY.

This past decade it was China. Chinese goods flooded the world. China exerted its economic power and influence, and China became a regional power, threatening to surpass the US as a world leader. But it was not to be.

No economic system ever devised by humankind has ever surpassed the American system of Capitalism, which relies so heavily on Greed, Avarice, Self-Interest, and fear of Governmental Control.

Every other world economic center is now paling in comparison.

The EU is now printing money to save the system. Greece is in chaos. The Euro is falling to record lows.

China is dramatically slowing and is printing stimulus.

Russia is in chaos with the ruble plunging in value.

The Oil Cartels are falling apart as the price of oil and energy has plummeted.

The Bric is no longer. When was the last time you heard that investing in third world markets was essential?

It doesn’t take a whole lot of understanding to know where to go to invest. The good old US of A.

What really happened over the long run through this cycle, was the creation  of a large new source of Capitalism (China), and an enormous new market for goods and services. That is precisely what has now happened in China. A loosening of economic restraints in China as more and more middle class citizens are created. So now there is yet another large market for US goods and services.

Remove Fear and See the Picture

So NOW is a great time to buy US stocks. They have enjoyed a mild resurgence, but like every cycle the initial stages are just a little taste of what is to come.

 What Stocks to Consider

In our next blog, we will give some insight in the stocks in our portfolios. Stay tuned.
